How to Be Resilient: Lessons from a Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor

In 1994, Takalah Tan survived a devastating motorcycle accident that left him with multiple permanent injuries and less than a one per cent chance of survival. In this inspiring session, Takalah shares how he rebuilt his life one step at a time despite memory loss, impaired vision, physical disability and many difficult setbacks. He will reflect on the mindset, perseverance, supportive relationships and personal choices that helped him move forward. Through his honest story, participants will be encouraged to focus on what they can control, draw strength from others and discover their own capacity for resilience. Takalah’s message is simple: challenges may change our lives, but they do not have to define what comes next. Check out Takalah's story on youtube : https://youtu.be/XonjUQ8NXOc?si=R-TmaIvZi_ilUPGI
