Our founders

In early 2020, two friends — Neil D'Souza and Lawrence Kosick — were on one of their regular long-distance runs when a conversation unfolded that would change their lives, and eventually the lives of millions of older adults.

Both were noticing the same thing: brilliant, skilled people in their networks were retiring and struggling — not financially, but existentially. They had time, talent, and wisdom, but nowhere to put it.

What if we could build something that gave this generation a new chapter? Not one rooted in dependency, but in contribution, curiosity, and connection.

Neil D'Souza — Co-Founder

Neil's background in tech and education sparked the core insight: if older adults were retiring with massive reservoirs of experience, and the world was moving rapidly online, there was surely a way to bridge the two. His product instincts shaped GetSetUp into a platform that is both scalable and deeply intuitive.

Lawrence Kosick — Co-Founder

Lawrence is the cultural architect of GetSetUp — shaping the learning experience into something warm, personal, and empowering. He believes deeply that community is the real product, and that learning alongside peers removes fear and rebuilds confidence.

Deval Delivala — Co-Founder

Shortly after those early runs, Neil and Lawrence met Deval Delivala, a former senior leader at Uber. Deval didn't just buy into the vision — he wrote the first check as an angel investor, and later joined as a co-founder to lead GetSetUp's global operations. His operational strength has enabled rapid rollout across multilingual, multi-access environments worldwide.
